John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to "forget" his Montanan accent and reverts to the SoCal speaking voice he normally uses.. I live in Darby, MT, where most of this is filmed – they were filming right across the street from me yesterday in a field with some horses and cattle.
I believe the show is a pretty solid story and is in that niche where Costner does his best
One thing I noticed about the first season, given my half-Indian side, is that it leaves you wondering who the good guys and bad guys are – maybe both sides are good and bad. I admit it’s nice to see them filming while here, the ranch is just a short drive from me and I pass by almost daily on my way to fish in the Bitterroot River.
